Dr Kush Ohri enjoyed practising as a general dentist for over 10 years in both the public and private sectors throughout Brisbane, regional Queensland and overseas before choosing to specialise in endodontics. He completed his specialist endodontic training at the University of Queensland in 2023, and was recognised with the best presentation award at UQ's annual research day. From this project, he developed a deep understanding of modern-day rotary nickel-titanium instruments and how to manage instrument fractures when they occur. He is passionate about conventional root canal treatment and has a special interest and extensive experience in contemporary endodontic procedures like endodontic microsurgery, pulp regeneration and vital pulp therapy.

Outside of clinical practice, Kush supervises postgraduate dental students and holds a lecturer position at UQ. He also volunteers his time to mentor recently graduated dentists and has contributed to the charitable organisation ‘Filling the Gap’.

Kush is a member of Australian Society of Endodontology, American Association of Endodontists, International Association for Dental Traumatology and Australian Dental Association. He was awarded a RACDS Fellowship in General Dental Practice in 2019, is Treasurer of RACDS Queensland Regional Committee, and contributes as a reviewer for the Australian Endodontic Journal.

Kush practises at the Endodontic Group's Wickham Terrace, Aspley and Maroochydore practices and is fluent in English and Hindi. Away from the profession, he can be found with his wife Neha (also a dentist) and being silly with their 2-year-old daughter Gia and their German Shepherd Nikko. He enjoys playing soccer, badminton and table tennis.
